Whalebone - Free Camp

There are 4-5 Free camps along the coast from Denham    The morning you want to camp in any of these you have to ring to see if any are available (only 4 sites to 1 camp) so it is a bit of pot luck if any are available & we wanted 2 sites...  We managed to get into Whalebone Camp so headed off for our next venture.

Along the way we called into Eagle Bluff & walked on the boardwalk over the top of the cliff.  Definitely worth a look!  The views were spectacular!

We  arrived at Whalebone Camp in time for lunch.  We managed a site right on the beach as you can see in the photo.   Can't get much closer than this with a van our size!  Tony is getting ready for our sausage sizzle.....

Patty & I enjoying a champagne at Happy Hour watching the sunset over the beautiful bay.

Kel & Tony enjoying a beer watching the sunset......Kel managed to catch an edible whiting but Tony had no luck here!

We woke up to a full tide and beautiful calm waters right at our doorstep......

This camp is for 1 night only .....interesting though..... only 4 camp sites available and 8 were camped there for the night!

We reluctantly packed up and headed for Kalbarri....
